Welcome to Plavler. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Plavler mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Nagaraju Maduru ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Apple App Store Users: If you download our app from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which can be found here: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

1. Eligibility

The Service is available to users of all ages. If you are under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), you may only use the Service with verifiable parental or guardian consent, as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

2. Account Registration

  • You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You may register using your email address or through Google Sign-In.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.
  • You must notify us immediately at support@plavler.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Use of the Service

Plavler is an AI-powered language-learning application that provides pre-built vocabulary, sentences, conversations, short stories, AI translations, AI chat, role-play scenarios, pronunciation practice, mixtapes, and spaced-repetition tools across 30+ languages.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You shall not:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access or collect data from the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use the Service to transmit any malware, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

4. AI-Generated Content

Plavler uses artificial intelligence (including the Google Gemini API and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech) to generate translations, example sentences, grammar explanations, conversation responses, and audio content. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes only and may not always be perfectly accurate.
  • We do not guarantee the correctness, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated output.
  • You should not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional translation, interpretation, or language instruction where accuracy is critical.

5. Chat Feature

The Service includes a chat feature that allows users to communicate with each other and with AI. When using chat, you agree to:

  • Not send content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Not share sensitive personal information (such as financial details, government IDs, or passwords) through chat.
  • Not use chat to spam, solicit, or advertise.
  • Accept that chat messages may be moderated and that we reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Plavler offers a free tier (supported by advertisements) and a premium subscription that removes ads and may unlock additional features.

  • Premium subscriptions are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing (Android) and Apple In-App Purchases (iOS). We do not directly collect or store your payment information.
  • Subscription terms, pricing, and billing cycles are displayed in the App before purchase. By subscribing, you agree to the displayed pricing and renewal terms.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
  • Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of Google Play or the Apple App Store.

7. Advertisements

The free tier of the Service displays advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the free tier, you agree to the display of ads. Ads shown to children comply with the Google Play Families Policy and are limited to age-appropriate, non-personalised content. You may remove ads by subscribing to the premium plan.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, audio, software, lesson content, and the overall design — are the property of Plavler or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial language-learning purposes.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on the Service or any of its content without our prior written consent.

9. User Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Plavler uses a local-first architecture: your learning data (progress, scores, preferences, and lesson history) is stored on your device. Certain data is processed server-side through Firebase and Google Cloud services as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting us at support@plavler.com. See our Delete Account page for instructions.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Data deletion follows the retention schedule described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • The results obtained from the Service (including AI-generated content) will be accurate or reliable.
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nagaraju Maduru and Plavler shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nagaraju Maduru and Plavler from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Gemini API, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, Google Play Billing, and Apple In-App Purchases. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

15. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notification or other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Plavler regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
